Law enforcers in Kherson Region have suppressed the activities of an organized group involved in the creation of a shadow market of agricultural products. This was reported on February 3 by the press service of the FSSB of Russia in the region.

It was specified that the activities of the group were suppressed by officers of the regional FSSB and the local Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

It was found that three residents of the Kherson region and Crimea registered several farms on false persons in order to create a shadow market of agricultural products in the region.

On behalf of the organizations, the defendants purchased grain from farmers, which was then exported outside the Kherson region for sale. They shared the income among themselves by means of electronic payments. It was specified that they managed to reach a total turnover of 150 million rubles.

A criminal case was opened on the illegal use of documents for the formation of a legal entity (Art. 173.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and on the illegal turnover of funds (Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

At the moment all the circumstances of the actions of the defendants are being established, as well as their criminal connections are revealed.

Earlier, on January 29, the Federal Security Service of Russia found a laboratory in Moscow region, illegally engaged in the processing of precious metals. According to the agency, the products of precious metals were transferred for money to persons engaged in supplying the shadow market. In some cases, the products were smuggled out of Russia. Criminal proceedings were initiated under Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Evasion of Precious Metals Refining").
