The Armed Forces of Belarus will test the combat readiness, which will approve new ways of using drones. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the republic in Telegram on February 3.

"One of the features of this check is the testing of new ways to support the actions of ground forces with reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems," said Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin.

He pointed out that the army should be ready to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country if necessary. During the test, the military will work out practical actions during drills of different scales, which will be held on unfamiliar terrain and ranges.

In addition to drones, fighters will actively work with electronic warfare (REB) to suppress drones and their control channels.

The Defense Ministry of Belarus warned citizens that within the framework of the exercise it is planned to move military equipment, and because of this, traffic restrictions are possible on public roads.

Earlier, October 30, 2024, Belarus announced a series of military exercises in the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), scheduled for September 2025.

Prior to that, on October 6, the republic held training exercises with the Air Force (Air Force) and Air Defense Forces (Air Defense Forces) to check their combat readiness. During the exercise, the military installed engineering equipment, organized camouflage, security and defense of places, where the troops are deployed.

In addition, on September 20, the Belarusian military fired the Polonez-M multiple rocket laun cher for the first time. The range of the shot amounted to 300 kilometers. The target was located at one of the training ranges in Russia and was successfully hit.
