The number of injured in the accident with a bus and "KamAZ" in the Leningrad region has increased to 17, the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the surrounding region reported on February 3.
"Both drivers, as well as two passengers of the bus, including an 11-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man, were hospitalized in extremely serious condition. Another 13 people were taken to medical facilities in a state of moderate severity and in satisfactory condition," - said in a message published in the Telegram-channel.
In addition, it was specified that two dead were passengers of the bus - a 60-year-old woman and her 61-year-old husband died on the spot.
Theaccident with a bus and a snowplow occurred in the evening on February 2 on the highway A-180, at the 135th km in Kingisepp district of the Leningrad region. The snowplow "KamAZ" collided with a bus Scania, moving in the opposite direction, with 22 people in the cabin. Two people died. A criminal case was opened on the fact of rendering services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence (part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
