Expert examination confirmed the death of four children near Krasnoyarsk from insecticides

Forensic chemical examination confirmed that the death of four children from the village of Krasnaya Sopka in Krasnoyarsk Krai was caused by acute insecticide poisoning. This was reported on February 3 by the Main Investigative Directorate (MID) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region and the Republic of Khakassia.

"According to the conclusion of experts in the biological objects of children submitted for examination, components of insecticide agent were found," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

It is noted that the results of forensic chemical examination correspond to the conclusions of the commission forensic medical examination conducted by the KGBUZ "Krasnoyarsk Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination".

The poisoning of the couple and their four children in the village of Krasnaya Sopka, Krasnoyarsk Krai, was reported on September 21, 2024. The family sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the minor brother and sister died. Later, on September 22, the third child died, and on the 23rd - the fourth. In the GSU SK of Russia in the region said that at the time of the incident, the mother of the dead children was nine months pregnant. She and her husband managed to survive.

On December 2 of the same year, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the cause of poisoning was the improper use of dichlofos. According to the agency, poisons from dichlofos, which was chaotically sprayed by the head of the family, got on all surfaces of the house and things, which caused the death of minors. The next day, December 3, 34-year-old father of four children, who died of poisoning by dichlofos in Krasnoyarsk region, was charged, the man pleaded guilty to the incident.

Later, on February 2, a three-month-old child died in this family. The issue of opening a criminal case on causing death by negligence under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is under consideration.
