Wilfand predicts dangerous weather in southern Russia at the beginning of the week


The scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, has spoken about the weather in southern Russia at the beginning of the current week.
In a conversation with TASS on Monday, February 3, the expert noted that in the Krasnodar Territory on February 3 and 4, heavy precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow is forecast, thunderstorms are expected on the coast, wind gusts will reach up to 20 m/s.
In addition, there will be heavy accumulation of wet snow and ice and frost, RT writes. Such weather, according to Wilfand, will significantly worsen visibility, due to which the movement of airplanes will be difficult.
Also difficult and dangerous weather will be established in Crimea. Heavy precipitation in the form of rain, wet snow, turning into snow is forecasted on the peninsula.
February 5, the temperature will drop in the south. At night it will be from -6 degrees to -1 degrees, during the day the indicators will be -1...+4 degrees. In the south of the Krasnodar region is expected to +5 degrees. Vilfand pointed out that the temperature in the south is approaching its norm.
Earlier on February 3, Vilfand said that 2025 could be among the five or three hottest years on the planet. One of the forecasts even assumed that it will take the second place, reports IA Regnum.
