The head of Dagestan reported the detection of UAVs over the Caspian Sea


Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been fixed over the facilities in Kaspiysk in Dagestan, necessary measures are being taken to neutralize them. This was stated by the head of the republic Sergey Melikov on February 3.
"At this point, no destruction or casualties have been recorded," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The head of the republic noted that all authorities are working in the operational headquarters mode. He urged the citizens of Dagestan to remain calm and rely solely on official sources of information.
On the same day it was reported that Russian air defense means (air defense) during the night intercepted and destroyed 70 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of the Russian Federation.
In addition, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said that the air defense forces and electronic warfare (EW) equipment had shot down several drones in the skies above the region. He specified that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage on the ground.
The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
