New models of Samsung smartphones purchased on marketplaces and gray market may be incompatible with the Russian market. This was reported on Monday, February 3, by Natalia Golitsyna, head of the telephony department of the MTS retail network, in a conversation with the RIA Novosti news agency .

"In Russia you can already buy a new line of Samsung Galaxy S25. A wide range of devices in various configurations has also appeared on the gray market and marketplaces. However, despite attractive prices, many users face problems when buying devices from unreliable sellers," she said.

According to Golitsyna, new smartphones may be imported from India, as a result of which the devices may work only with SIM cards of foreign operators. Also, as noted by the expert, unverified sellers can offer refurbished gadgets under the guise of new ones, the performance of which is lower than the original, specified "Gazeta.Ru".

Earlier, on January 22, Samsung held the first presentation of its new products in 2025 Galaxy Unpacked 2025, which showed three smartphones of the flagship line - Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+ phones are available in gray, blue, mint and blue colors, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is made of titanium in black, silver and blue.
