Mi-28NM crew disrupted AFU rotation in the border area of Kursk region


The crew of a Russian Mi-28NM helicopter has disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) units in the border area of Kursk Region. A video of the combat operation was released by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 3.
"In the course of the combat mission to support ground troops, the pilots of the army aviation carried out missile launches at specified coordinates and destroyed armored vehicles as well as personnel of the AFU," the ministry said.
Next, the crews performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitude with the firing of heat traps preventing the missiles of the portable anti-aircraft missile system of the Ukrainian forces. The target was destroyed.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry released footage of the combat work of crews of T-72B3M tanks of the Army Corps of the "North" group of forces. It was reported that they destroyed platoon strongholds, ammunition depot and military equipment of the AFU in the Kharkiv direction.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
