A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Kamchatka


An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 was recorded in Kamchatka. This was reported on February 3 in the Kamchatka branch of FIC "Unified Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The epicenter of the seismic event was located 87 km from the village of Ust-Kamchatsk. The source lay at a depth of 62 km. Information about casualties and damage was not received.
Earlier, on January 26, it became known that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 occurred near the coast of Kamchatka. It was specified that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 48 km. The epicenter was located 107 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. There was no information about casualties and damage.
