Divers find drowned fisherman in Novgorod region

Two days later, divers found the body of a drowned fisherman in the Novgorod region. This was reported in the regional department of population protection on February 2.

The department specified that the message about the missing man near the village Solovyevo of Volotovsky district came to the emergency services the day before, February 1. The fisherman left with his dog on the lake Dolzhenskoe on a motorized tugboat. However, after some time, only the dog returned home.

"At the scene worked Starorusskaya diving and search team of the professional emergency rescue service. Today the body of the drowned man was found and handed over to police officers", - stated in the message in the social network "VKontakte".

The Department recalled that on the entire territory of the Novgorod region, except for the Moshensky district, going out on the ice is prohibited.

Earlier in the day it was reported that 40 amateur fishermen were rescued from the ice of the Gulf of Finland in the Kurortny district and brought to the shore. It was reported that due to the scour formed in the ice they were unable to return back.
