Russian Vasily Kamotsky (Pelmen), who became champion in the Power Slap slap league, told Izvestia on Feb. 2 that UFC head Dane White supports him.

"We get along well. I wish I knew more English, and so - through translators we communicate," said Kamotsky.

On January 30, the Russian took a rematch over American Lane Viernes (Crazy Hawaiian) in Riyadh. Their first meeting took place in October 2024 and ended in a draw.

This time, after the last punch thrown by Kamotski, the athletes began gesticulating vigorously and communicating in raised tones.

"I don't know what he was saying. We are just always emotional with him in fights," said the Russian, commenting on the post-fight footage. He added that he considers Viernes a strong opponent.

At the moment, the athlete continued, he will focus on the title defense. The date of Kamotsky's next fight is still unknown.

The Russian made his Power Slap debut in June last year, when he knocked out Pole Kamil Marusaszcz (Polar Bear).

On February 1, Russian heavyweight Sergey Pavlovich defeated Suriname's Jairzinho Rosenstrike at UFC Fight Night 250. The fight took place in Saudi Arabia in the city of Riyadh.

On the same day it was reported that Russian mixed martial arts fighter Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, was defeated in a fight with Britain's Michael Page at UFC Fight Night 250. The fight was over in three rounds. Page won by unanimous decision of the judges (30:27, 30:27, 29:28).
