Russian Interior Ministry warned of fraud attacks on behalf of online store Ozon

Fraudsters have started using phishing attacks on behalf of the online store Ozon to gain access to citizens' data. This was warned on February 2 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK of the Russian Interior Ministry).
Swindlers place banners on the site, offering to get a promo code for Br10 thousand for the birthday. However, to activate it, it is suggested to contact a "personal manager" via WhatsApp (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
In order for the store's customers to "buy" the offer even more, the scammers place the inscription "WhatsApp© Secured authentication".
"In case of going to the messenger and following the instructions of attackers, citizens risk losing access to their account and confidential data", - stated in the Telegram-channel "Herald of Cyberpolice".
Earlier, January 31, in the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that fraudsters have found a new way to deceive citizens through the purchase of gold bars or investment coins. They specified that the scheme works because it is easier to explain the purchase of gold to a bank employee, citing arguments about inflation and a high level of confidence in precious metals.
