Every eighth Russian respondent has decided to start saving for an apartment

Almost half of the surveyed Russians in one way or another connect their plans in 2025 with the solution of the apartment issue. Thus, one in eight (12%) plans to start saving and saving money for an apartment. This is stated in the research results of Level Group company, which were presented to "Izvestia" on February 5.

Every tenth (10%) respondent plans to sell an apartment in order to buy another one, and 15% are only thinking about solving the apartment issue that worries them. At the same time, 3% said that they are preparing to sell an apartment and invest in something else, and the same number of respondents, on the contrary, are planning to buy an apartment. Most of those who plan to buy real estate want to mortgage it (51% of cases), and every fifth (20%) is ready to sell other property to make a new purchase. At the same time, 15% rely on the help of relatives.

"Besides the economic situation in the market, there are other factors that can affect the terms of purchase and the cost of housing. Many people prefer to buy and sell housing in the warm season, when it is easier to organize moving and repairs. However, this also leads to an increase in supply and demand in the market, which in turn can affect prices. Autumn and winter is the time when the activity on the market decreases, but at the same time it becomes easier to find a really favorable offer from developers", - noted in the press service of Level Group.

In addition to plans to solve the housing issue, Russians said that they are preparing to move into a new apartment (7%), start or complete renovation (14%), buy a car (9%). Also, 5% reported plans to add to the family. The majority (28%) wish to have more rest and go on vacation, and 20% set goals related to education: to learn a language, take a course, enter a university.

Earlier, on November 2, 2024, it was reported that every third Russian respondent considers the most comfortable "young" secondary housing - real estate, which is 3-10 years old. Another 30% of respondents named a country house as comfortable. At the same time, the comfort of new buildings - up to three years from the date of delivery of the house - was noted by 23%, according to the results of the VTB survey.
