The expert stated the leading position of Russian AI technologies in the world

In the military and economic spheres, Russian artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are among the three world leaders. Igor Ashmanov, president of the analytical company Cribrum, a member of the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (PCHR), told Izvestia on February 2.

"We have combat systems with artificial intelligence no worse than the Americans, and sometimes even better. In the economy, artificial intelligence is also now saving a lot of money, it allows us to predict defects," he said.

Ashmanov added that in critical areas Russia has always been in the leading positions in the world.

"In all these ratings, three countries change places: the United States, China and us. And this is how it will be in the next half century," he assured.

At the same time, continued Ashmanov, Russia should follow its own path, so that AI would work for the benefit of the economy and military sphere of the state.
