In Kolomna, a schoolboy and a college student were detained for setting fire to relay cabinets

In Kolomna, a 15-year-old schoolboy and a 17-year-old college student were detained for the arson of four relay cabinets at the railroad crossing. This was reported on February 2 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The incident occurred that day near the 120th kilometer of the crossing of stations Golutvin - Shchurovo Ryazan direction of the Moscow railroad. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcers found burned structures and traces of flammable liquid.

"The suspects were detained by operatives at their places of residence in Kolomna and Voskresensk near Moscow with the forceful support of OMON "Mech" officers on transport of the State Department of the Rosgvardiya for the city of Moscow", - said in a message published in the Telegram-channel.

Young people admitted that they were offered to commit the crime by a stranger in one of the messengers. For arson they were promised a monetary reward.

A criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). The defendants were detained under Art. 91 of the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation until a measure of restraint is chosen.

Earlier, January 5, in Yekaterinburg, teenagers who were planning a terrorist attack in one of the schools in the city were arrested. They were found guilty of preparation for terrorism, as well as illegal manufacture and possession of explosive devices (part 1 of article 30, part 3 of article 222.1, part 2 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
