A weather forecaster has predicted an early onset of summer in Russia

This year summer in Russia will come earlier than usual. This was reported on February 2 by the head of the forecasting center "Meteo" Alexander Shuvalov.

"We can assume that summer in 2025 will come early. Such a trend is traceable - year by year the duration of the summer period increases," he said in conversation with 360.ru.

At the same time, the expert noted that the probability of a cold summer is about 30%, all the rest, according to him - "the chances of normal or hot".

Shuvalov noted that long-term forecasts may be wrong for today, as Russia has not previously experienced such warm winters and Januarys as in the current season. He also pointed to the country's increase in extreme weather events over the past decade.

Earlier on January 31, Shuvalov shared at the Izvestia IIC press center that frost is expected in Russia in February. He noted that in the middle belt of the Russian Federation the temperature drop will be smooth, and in the south of the European territory - more sharp, but not to the lowest values.
