The former commander of the Primorsky Krai volunteer unit "Tiger", vice-governor of Primorsky Krai Sergey Efremov has died in the zone of special military operation (SMO). This was announced by the Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako on February 2.

"Dear countrymen, friends, today we have a great grief. Returning from a combat mission, the commander of the volunteer detachment "Tiger" Sergei Efremov died. Sergei was an outstanding person with a big kind heart, a responsive, strong-willed commander and organizer," Kozhemyako said in a video message in his Telegram channel.

The governor recalled that the "Tiger" detachment was formed in Primorye in June 2022, and Efremov became its first commander. The memory "of a bright man with a kind smile", as the vice-governor was, will forever remain in the hearts of the residents of the region, Kozhemyako added.
