Ukrainian media reported about a man blowing up a grenade in a hotel building in Lviv

A 44-year-old man threw a grenade into the Arena hotel in Lviv. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website on 2 February.

The local police received a report about the explosion around midnight. According to preliminary data of the National police of Ukraine, the man was on the third floor of the hotel.

The blast wave knocked out the doors and windows in the building, the man himself was injured by shrapnel.

"As a result of the explosion, the man was injured and was hospitalized," the police said in a statement.

On the eve in the Ukrainian city of Rivne in the west of the country there was an explosion outside the building of the territorial center of manning (TCC, the analog of the military recruitment office in Ukraine). According to the country's National Police, one person was killed and six were injured.

Martial law in the country has been in effect since February 2022. At the same time Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country.
