Epidemiological investigation launched after children poisoned in Moscow hotel


An epidemiological investigation has been launched in Moscow after six children were poisoned at the Porechye Hotel in the southeast of the capital, the Moscow Department of Rospotrebnadzor said on February 2.
"The Department of Rospotrebnadzor for the city of Moscow on the information received from the Department of Health of Moscow about the hospitalization of six children who came to the competition from Rostov, immediately began an epidemiological investigation," - stated on the website of the agency.
The dephdrava of the capital specified that the condition of the victims is satisfactory, there is no threat to their lives. Medics are helping them. Other children living in the hotel did not require hospitalization. Specialists sampled food products and other necessary analyses.
On the site of the capital Prosecutor's office specifies that all poisoned in the hotel Kapotnya - girls. On the fact of the emergency initiated a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers").
The children had sought medical help with signs of food poisoning the day before. According to the Izvestiya source, a group of girls accompanied by their parents came to Moscow for a choreographic contest. Two of them felt sick from the evening of February 1, the rest - on the morning of February 2. The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation also opened a criminal case under a similar article.
