Polish soldier commits suicide on the border with Belarus

A Polish soldier, who served on the border with Belarus, committed suicide. This is stated in a post published on February 2 by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces in the social network X (former Twitter).

"With deep regret we inform that tonight in the territory of the operation "Safe Podlasie" there was a suicide of one of the servicemen," the post reads.

Military police under the supervision of the prosecutor's office is clarifying the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on August 1, 2024, the Polish army launched the operation "Safe Podlasie" on the border with Belarus. Additional military equipment and army forces were transferred to this territory.
