Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. In addition, units of the Southern Group of Forces took more favorable lines and positions. They defeated the formations of two mechanized Ukrainian brigades and two brigades of the Donetsk people's republic in the areas of the settlements of Ulakly, Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye and Chasov Yar in the DNR.

The losses of the enemy amounted to up to 200 servicemen, four ammunition depots were also destroyed, the defense ministry added.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 42,139 UAVs, 590 air defense missile systems, 20,997 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,513 MLRS combat vehicles, 21,129 field artillery and mortars, and 31,127 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
