Divers lifted 1350 kg of fuel oil from the seabed at the pier in Anapa over the day

Over the day, divers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry lifted 1350 kg of fuel oil from the bottom of the pier in Anapa. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry on February 2.

"Over the past day surveyed the bottom and the pier near the village of Vityazevo. Underwater for a day manually collected and raised to the surface 27 bags (1 350 kg) with oil products," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is noted that every day specialists survey about 955 km of the coast. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, cases of point releases of fuel oil were detected at 17 sites.

At the same time, a total of 347 km of the coast has been cleaned and over 178.5 thousand tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected since the beginning of the work. During the whole time divers made 230 descents to the bottom of the sea to clean it.

In addition, in the Crimea specialists have surveyed about 525 km of coastline for a day, in the Krasnodar region will survey 265 km, and in Sevastopol - 165 km.

Earlier, on January 31, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region reported the detection of minor repeated emissions of fuel oil on the coast of Anapa. It was specified that the emissions were recorded in the territories of Abinsky, Vyselkovsky, Pavlovsky, Yeisky, Starominsky, Krymsky districts and Novorossiysk.

Tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" due to bad weather crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15, 2024. The incident resulted in a spill of oil products. 27 people were evacuated from both vessels, one person died. On the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a working group was set up to coordinate work to eliminate the consequences of the emergency.
