Terrorist attack case opened against VFU brigade commander after attack on Sudzha
A criminal case has been opened against the commander of the 19th separate missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Colonel Rostyslav Karpusha, who is suspected of committing a terrorist act in Suzhansky district of Kursk Region. This was reported on February 2 in the Telegram-channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The case was initiated under paragraph "b" part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act resulting in the death of a person").
It is established that on Saturday, February 1, the defendant gave an illegal order to his subordinates to launch a missile attack on the building of a boarding school in the town of Suja. At that time there were civilians inside. As a result of the terrorist attack, there are dead and injured.
At the moment the circumstances of the incident are being established, as well as measures are being taken to establish the location of Karpusha and accomplices of the crime.
On the eve of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case of terrorist attack (item "b" part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against the AFU militants who attacked the civilian car in Korenevsky district of Kursk region the day before.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
