Funerals of murdered foresters held in Kaluga region

Forestry employees killed in Kaluga region have been buried. This was reported on February 1 by the deputy head of the Kuibyshev district of the region Sergei Belyai.

"Everything went well, solemnly, so to speak, for such an event. Held with all the honors. The funeral was in the temples - one and the second," he said in conversation with "RIA Novosti".

According to him, the funeral took place the day before. Deputy Director of the State Committee of the KO "Kuibyshev forestry" Alexei Ageyev was buried in the village of Betlitsa, the driver of the car Gennady Bogachev - in the village of Zakrutoe. The funeral of forester Viktor Chugunov took place on Friday, January 31.

Belyai noted that the funeral was attended by a large number of people, including fellow villagers, colleagues, directors of regional lesnichestvos, as well as representatives of the district administration and the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kaluga Region.

On January 29, a criminal case was opened in the Kaluga region over the discovery of the men's bodies with gunshot wounds. Later, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported that a local resident had killed three forestry employees and set fire to a service vehicle.

According to the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha, preliminary, the suspect was making unauthorized felling of trees, in connection with which five employees of the organization went to the site on January 29. At the time of detention, the man held two employees of the lesnichestvo hostage. When they were released, the attacker committed suicide on the spot.

Later, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (ICS) for the region showed footage from the scene of the murder of three forestry employees near the village of Usokhi. The video shows a burnt-out Gazelle with a gun casing lying on the ground next to it.

Later, the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that a total of four criminal cases were opened on the fact of the murder. In addition to the original case, cases were also initiated under the articles "Illegal deprivation of liberty" (paragraphs "g, g" of part 2 of article 127 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), "Intentional destruction of property by arson" (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), "Illegal trafficking in weapons" (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
