- CBS television station will turn over the transcript of Harris' interview to U.S. authorities for investigation

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will be given the full transcript of an interview with the country's former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris as part of an investigation into a lawsuit filed by U.S. presidential front-runner Donald Trump, CBS Television reported Feb. 2.
"CBS News will provide the Federal Communications Commission with the transcript and video footage of the interview on the '60 Minutes' program," the report said.
The decision was made after receiving a request from the FCC.
CBS emphasized that they are working to comply with the requirements of this investigation, as they are obliged to do so by law. In addition, they noted that they repeatedly refuted the statements of the American leader.
Earlier, at the end of October 2024, it was reported that Trump, as a presidential candidate, filed a lawsuit against the TV channel for $10 billion because of this video material. The politician claimed that it was edited in a way that presented Harris in a "good light," which misled the public. He demanded that the full transcript of the interview with Harris on the 60 Minutes program be released because she gave two different answers to a question about the war between Israel and the Palestinian radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
