Todd Inman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board in the United States, noted on January 31 that it could take a year to determine the exact cause of the crash. In addition, he said that investigators have retrieved all flight recorders (black boxes) from the crashed airplane and helicopter. According to him, the helicopter's recorders have been merged and investigators are confident that they will also be able to retrieve all the necessary data from them.
