As a result of attacks on the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) by Ukrainian militants, seven civilians were injured. This was reported by the head of the region Denis Pushilin on February 1.

"In the Kalininsky district of Gorlovka as a result of the use of barrel artillery by the enemy, women born in 1972 and 1961 and a man born in 1959 received wounds of medium severity", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

Two more men born in 1994 and 1961 suffered in the Nikitovsky district of Horlivka as a result of the use of barrel artillery, including cluster-type artillery, by the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). They received moderate injuries.

In addition, two civilians - a woman born in 1975 and a man born in 1995 - were wounded as a result of the use of barrel artillery by the enemy in the village of Yasenovoye in the Krasnoarmeysk municipal district.

According to Pushilin, all the injured are receiving the necessary medical care. Also, he continued, as a result of the AFU attacks, three residential buildings were damaged in the Nikitovsky and Central City districts of Horlivka. In addition, a civilian infrastructure facility (gas pipeline) in the Nikitovskyi district of Horlivka was damaged, as well as three cars. The head of the DNR specified that the AFU carried out about 30 armed attacks with the use of 155 mm caliber artillery, including cluster-type artillery and attack UAVs.

Earlier, on January 31, it was reported that Ukrainian kamikaze drones twice attacked the Nikitovsky district of the city of Horlivka in the DNR. It was specified that the first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the AFU arrived at 08:30. The second kamikaze drone attacked the same area at around 12:00. Gorlovka mayor Ivan Prikhodko specified that there were no casualties, the equipment of one of the city's utility companies was damaged.

The AFU has been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid a special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russia announced on February 24, 2022.
