Actor of the Alexandrinsky Theater Viktor Semenovsky died at the age of 81, reported on February 1 on the website of the cultural institution.
"Today, the artist Viktor Borisovich Semenovsky (October 19, 1943 - February 1, 2025) passed away at the 82nd year of life. <...> Alexandrinsky mourns his passing," said the press service of the theater.
Semenovsky was accepted into the troupe of the Alexandrinsky Theater in 1969, when it was still called the Pushkin State Academic Drama Theater. The actor devoted more than 55 years of his life to the service of the stage and created more than 70 different character roles - from the Poet in the play "Justice is my craft" to Kuzma Balyasnikov in "Tales of Old Arbat". One of his latest works was the role of Anaxagoras in the play "Demagogue".
Also with the participation of Semenovsky released more than 40 pictures, among them - "Family History" (2010), "Spirit Day" (1990), "The Life of Klima Samgin" (1986-1988), "Zori here are quiet..." (1970), "Twelve Months" (1973), "The Tale of Fedot the Streltsy" (2001), "Homicidal Force" (2000-2005), "Redeeming Victim" (1992), "Drumming" (1993) and others.
