In the Ukrainian city of Rivne in the west of the country, there was an explosion near the building of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC). This was reported by the National Police of the country on February 1.

"It is known about one dead person, six more were injured," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

The accident occurred at about 16:15 local time (17:15 Moscow time), three ambulances are on the scene, windows were broken in the building of the TCC after the incident. Also arrived investigative team, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and other emergency services.

Earlier in the day it was reported that in the Poltava region of Ukraine, an unknown person shot an employee of the TCC during the escort of military conscripts to the training center. As reported by the command of land forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the attacker threatened the military officer with a shotgun and demanded to give up his service weapon. Having received a refusal, the attacker fired a shot. The military officer died at the scene.

Conflicts between citizens and employees of the TCC in Ukraine occur regularly. Thus, on January 13, Khmelnytskyi court found guilty a man who attacked TCC employees with a gas gun. He was sentenced to probation for one year and six months.

In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20 last year, signed a law on toughening mobilization. In particular, he lowered the age of mobilization from 27 to 25 and signed a law on the creation of an electronic register of persons liable for military service, which combines information on the personal data of Ukrainians, including details of internal and foreign passports. There are no provisions on demobilization in the documents.

Martial law in the country has been in effect since February 2022. At the same time Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are prohibited from leaving the country.
