The Russian company Sistemma has launched a functional analog of ChatGPT in Russian, which can solve business problems. Sergei Zubarev, founder of Sistemma GPT, told Izvestia on February 1.

According to him, the company decided to focus on selling not just a model of artificial intelligence, but a system that can solve specific business problems, which is the competitive advantage of Sistemma GPT.

The Russian analog is capable of generating texts, answering questions, compiling resumes, writing code, developing instructions, giving personal recommendations, as well as performing some routine tasks.

"The main purpose is to automate the tasks of various structures, government and commercial, to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs, as well as integration into workflows to analyze large information, some conclusions and analytics," Zubarev said.

He noted that it is too early to compare the success of countries in the field of artificial technologies. Zubarev noted that in the international market, the one who will figure out how to most effectively utilize current opportunities wins.

"Russia has significant potential due to its solid mathematical base, strong educational system and unique data, especially in the area of Russian language processing, as we are essentially the first source of all this information. <...> We have an important niche position, but to achieve global leadership, we need to strengthen investments and develop high-tech infrastructure," said the founder of Sistemma GPT.

Earlier, on January 31, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that the race to develop artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is comparable to the arms race and space exploration programs. He pointed out that Russia's goal in this sphere is to use the developments in solving applied military tasks.

Before that, on January 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to provide methodological support for the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the sphere of state and municipal administration following the conference "Journey into the world of artificial intelligence ". In addition, the list included the need to provide a proposal to expand the use of AI for additional training and counseling of schoolchildren in general education subjects.

On December 11, 2024, the head of state suggested holding a strategic session on the future of artificial intelligence in the Russian Federation. He also added that Russian key research centers in the field of artificial intelligence are working successfully. In addition, Putin noted that AI technologies have transformed the face of entire industries in Russia over the past year.
