The increased attention to the Russian song "Sigma Boy" and attempts to ban it in Europe are the hysteria of globalists. This statement was made by European Parliament (EP) deputy Peter Bystrov in a conversation with Izvestia on February 1.

"Young people are sharing good pop songs en masse on social networks, and globalists are throwing a tantrum around it. Why? Because their own lies are boomeranging back to them," he said.

The MEP noted that at the same time the deep and longstanding Russian-Ukrainian ties of the peoples in the West are silenced.

On the eve of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, in turn, called Russophobia statements of European politicians about the song "Sigma Boy". She called the banning of the song a complete madness.

January 26, German politician, member of the European Parliament from the party "Volt Europe" Nela Riehl called to ban "Sigma Boy" because the song allegedly helps to spread pro-Russian and patriarchal views.

On January 29, Eugene Schmidt, an MP from the Alternative for Germany (AdG) party, told Izvestia that the EP's proposal to ban the popular song "Sigma Boy," sung by two Russian schoolgirls, is a manifestation of anti-Russian propaganda. Schmidt noted that he saw no reason to think that the song could be used for propaganda against Europe.
