Footage of an airplane crashing into apartment buildings in Philadelphia has been released

The moment an air ambulance plane crashed in northeast Philadelphia was caught on video captured by eyewitnesses.

"The Learjet 55 aircraft crashed around 6:30 p.m. local time on Friday, Jan. 31, after departing from North East Philadelphia Airport," the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement released by CNN.

Published footage shows flames and a large cloud of smoke. Cars passing nearby came to a stop. Philadelphia's nearby North East Airport was temporarily closed after the crash but has now reopened, U.S. airport officials told U.S. reporters. The death toll was not reported.

Earlier in the day, the NBC television channel reported thehospitalization of six people after the plane crashed in Philadelphia. It is noted that none of them was not a passenger of the airliner.
