Military groups "Center" told about the training of fighters at the training ground
On February 1, servicemen of the 15th Independent Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of troops said that they had been undergoing training for several weeks before starting to carry out tasks in the special military operation (SMO) zone. Machine gunner Artem Gusev shared that at the range, servicemen are trained in engineering and medicine, among other things.
"Training, on average, takes from one to three weeks. After three weeks of training we have fighters ready many for assault and reconnaissance among other things," he told Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.
Alexei Chupin, the commander of the depth reconnaissance company, shared that he volunteered almost immediately after the start of the special operation. He has been involved in combat operations since December 2023 and immediately got into his current position.
According to him, scouts perform "subtle specifics" on the front line and work in small groups - twos or threes.
"Our task is to go to the rear, often, to take intelligence, to identify the target, to make adjustments to artillery, to give the target and instructions," Chupin shared.
The day before, Russian servicemen of the 10th Guards Tank Regiment of the 20th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the 8th Guards Army of the Southern Grouping handed over humanitarian aid to residents of the village of Elizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
