National Media Group celebrates its 17th anniversary


National Media Group (NMG) celebrates its birthday on February 1 - it turned 17 years old. Over the years, the holding's resources have won an audience in a wide variety of spheres: on television, in cinemas and on the Web. At the same time, emphasis has been placed on the content of its own production - films, series and programs that become popular and discussed after their release.
Thus, in 2024, the NMG team created content for several months of continuous broadcasting. The success of NMG also lies in the desire to always be in the trend: now the holding is leading in the digital environment, and the production of content for online platforms has grown fivefold.
"Success depends, first of all, on how much you understand what is interesting and what is demanded by the viewer, and how much you know how to deliver it and create content around it in a way that is interesting and useful for the viewer. We are the largest television holding in the country in terms of the share of broadcasting. A quarter of the Russian population watches our channels. NMG produces almost 5 thousand hours of its own content, and we are only increasing this production", - said Svetlana Balanova, General Director of NMG.
NMG will celebrate its birthday with a number of already sensational premieres. The adventure movie "Vasily", which united Russia and Mexico, was recently released, and in the coming weeks the audience will be able to see the Russian-Chinese detective "Red Silk".
Among other things, NMG plans a completely new format of youth series, the plot of which depends on real-time events, and the length of the episodes depends on online rules.
