The attacker of a woman in Vladivostok was remanded in custody for two months


A man, who attacked a woman in Vladivostok, was remanded in custody for two months. This was reported on February 1 in the SU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the region.
"At the request of the investigator of the Primorsky SKR Alexander Kuzmenko in the criminal case of a crime against sexual freedom elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
The Prosecutor's Office of the region indicated that the agencies put on control the progress and results of the investigation of the criminal case under paragraph "b" part 2 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code ("Rape committed with particular cruelty to the victim"). The article provides for punishment up to 10 years of imprisonment.
Theincident in Vladivostok became known on January 30. A man beat and raped a woman, then fled the scene. Later the suspect was detained. The resident of the house, who found the beaten woman, said that he saw the victim when he left the apartment.
The official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk specified that the suspect is 37 years old and has multiple convictions. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report to him on the progress of the investigation.
The victim's mother shared with Izvestia that the woman knew her attacker. He worked together with her acquaintance at a gas station, but her daughter was not on close terms with the attacker.
