In Russia, insurance pensions were indexed from February 1


Russian pensioners will start receiving insurance pensions from February 1, which have been indexed to the actual inflation rate of 9.5%. This follows from the resolution published on the website of the Russian government.
"The Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation to carry out indexation (additional increase) of insurance pensions in accordance with paragraph 1 of this decree, ensuring the payment of these pensions in February 2025 with additional payment for January 2025, taking into account the provisions of Art. 261 of the Federal Law "On Insurance Pensions", - the document says.
In addition, the resolution says that the cost of one pension coefficient for people who will retire in 2025 will be up to 145.7 rubles. At the same time the size of the fixed payment to the old-age insurance pension will be up to Br8907.7.
Earlier, January 28, Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin reported that pensioners, who in December 2024 celebrated their 80th anniversary, will receive a bonus to payments for January and February. According to him, in January, the insurance pension increased by 7.3% and amounted to Br38,359.75. In addition, a doubled fixed payment of 8,728.73 rubles and an additional payment of 1,287.60 rubles, which from 2025 is assigned to the disabled of group I or citizens who have reached the age of 80 years, were also accrued.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on January 27 that the Russian government will index more than 40 different social payments and benefits by 9.5% from February 1. Among them are those entitled to people with disabilities of all three groups, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and combat operations, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of Labor.
