A police captain died while detaining a violator in the Yaroslavl region

The commander of a separate battalion of patrol and checkpoint service of the UMVD of Russia in Yaroslavl region, police captain Anatoly Tutynin was killed during the arrest of an armed intruder. This was reported in the Interior Ministry in the region on January 31.

It is noted that Tutynin arrived on the scene after a report to the police of Dzerzhinsky district that there is an inadequate man with a knife in the entrance. The offender was in his apartment. He shot three times through the door and wounded Tutynin. By return fire of the partner the criminal was liquidated.

The police officer was urgently taken to a medical facility, where he later died.

On the fact of the incident a criminal case on attempt on the life of a police officer was initiated.

Earlier, on January 4, it was reported that in Moscow, a police officer rescued a pregnant woman, who was stabbed and tried to strangle her husband. The perpetrator was detained and taken to hospital. The injured pregnant woman was also taken to a medical facility. A criminal case has been opened on attempted murder and attempt on the life of a police officer.
