The SIBUR-Kstovo industrial enterprise has temporarily suspended shipments of products after the crash of a Ukrainian drone and a fire. This was reported in the company on January 31.

"On the territory of the enterprise "SIBUR-Kstovo" works are underway to eliminate the consequences of the fall of the debris of the downed UAV. The main units are in standby mode, product shipment is temporarily not performed," the company said in a statement quoted by TASS.

The company pointed out that after the EMERCOM and other services' employees complete their work, the company will assess the condition of the equipment and then make repairs where needed. "SIBUR" will provide its customers with products from other production sites.

Debris from a Ukrainian drone fell on the territory of the SIBUR-Kstovo plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region earlier, on January 29. This caused a major fire. The company's press service specified that the company's personnel was not injured. Later, on January 31, firefighters extinguished open burning at SIBUR-Kstovo.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
