Emergencies Ministry employees have completely eliminated a large forest fire in Sochi

A large forest fire that occurred on the slope of Mount Kuma in Sochi has been completely extinguished. This was reported on Friday, January 31, in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnodar region.

"18:00 - complete elimination of the consequences of the fire," - said in a statement of the department.

It is noted that to the work on the elimination of the fire involved from the unified state system of prevention and elimination of emergency situations (EMERCOM) 105 people and 28 units of equipment.

The fact that in Sochi on the slope of Mount Kuma forest litter caught fire, became known earlier in the day. According to Izvestia correspondent Maria Matveenko, the fire was extinguished with the help of Ka-32 helicopter.
