Analysts named the most popular electric car with mileage in Russia

At the end of 2024, 12.3 thousand electric cars with mileage were sold in Russia. This is 18% more than a year earlier, said the director of the analytical agency "Autostat" Sergey Tselikov in his Telegram-channel on January 31. According to his data, the best-selling all-electric model on the "secondary" was Nissan Leaf, which took 39% of the market. The same model is also one of the most affordable electric cars on the market.
"Still "alive", but well-traveled can be taken for 1 million rubles. So to speak, an "entrance ticket" to the electric world. But, unfortunately, the lion's share of "Lifs" with right-hand drive," wrote Tselikov.
The top five most popular brands in the segment by share in sales are Nissan (39.4%), Tesla (17%), Zeekr (11.5%), Volkswagen (5.2%) and Evolute (3.6%). Among these brands, only Evolute is officially represented on the Russian market of new electric cars.
The share of crossovers in the market of electric cars with mileage is small and amounts to only 28%, but will grow, the expert predicts. Chinese models still account for only one fifth (21%), but this figure will also grow, he believes. Also, Tselikov noted that one fifth of electric cars on the Russian market is older than 10 years, and 30% of the market - quite "fresh" cars (up to 3 years).
On January 17, it was reported that the Russian government extended the right of free travel on toll federal highways for electric cars until the end of 2025. However, now owners of electric cars-foreign cars will have to pay for the toll, as the benefit applies only to owners of Russian-built cars to stimulate demand for domestic electric cars.
