Kia recalls more than 29 thousand cars in Russia due to the risk of fire

Kia Russia and CIS announced a recall of 29.1 thousand vehicles Kia Sportage (Sle), sold from 2014 to 2016. This was announced by Rosstandart on January 31.

The reason for the recall of cars is a possible short circuit in the electrical circuit of the ABS/ESC unit. This can lead to excessive current rise and may increase the risk of fire in the engine compartment

Owners of the recalled vehicles, whose VIN codes are listed by Rosstandart, are advised to contact dealerships. Employees of dealer services will replace the ABS system multi-fuse and fuse box cover free of charge.
