Russian Su-34 destroyed an AFU stronghold in the border area of Kursk Region


The crew of the Su-35S fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces escorted fighter-bombers during a bombing strike on a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border areas of the Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 31.
"The Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber bomber accompanied by a Su-35S fighter bomber took off from the basing airfield and carried out a bombing strike on the AFU stronghold and manpower," the statement said.
It is specified that after the successful elimination of the target, the entire group returned to the airfield basing.
Earlier, on January 30, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crews of attack aviation on Su-25 aircraft carried out missile air strikes on camouflaged armored vehicles and personnel of the AFU units in the border areas of the Kursk region.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
