In February, residents of Murmansk may hear explosions. The work should be carried out at the site of construction of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky St. Nicholas Sea Cathedral.

According to the administration, explosions can be carried out from February 1 to 28 from 16 to 18 hours, reserve time - from 11 to 13 hours. About it writes IA "Bi-port". Specialists will arrange shelters from metal sheets, which will prevent the dispersal of rock fragments. There is no danger to the population.

The cathedral is being built on Burkova Street. Its height will be 68.6 meters. In the Soviet years on the territory were amusement rides, and earlier - the burial of those who died during the First World War.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg, the status of a landmark site was given to the site where the Church of St. Matthias the Apostle and the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary stood for almost 150 years. The first wooden church on this site was built in the early 18th century, where Peter the Great prayed for the end of the war with Sweden.
