Tverskoy district court of Moscow has arrested deputy chief of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow Sergei Bivol in the case of businessman Sergei Anokhin until March 29. This was reported by the correspondent of "Izvestia" on January 31.
It is noted that Bivol asked to appoint him a measure not related to detention, stating that he cooperates with the investigation and does not have a passport.
The day before, lawyer Stepan Gritskov and Anokhin himself were remanded in custody until March 29. During the meeting it was announced that the businessman admits guilt and has already given detailed testimony on the other defendants in the case. It is established that Anokhin has citizenship and residence permit in Montenegro, in the case materials there is a copy of a Mexican passport in his name. Two unidentified defendants are on an international wanted list.
Anokhin was detained on January 29 on suspicion of bribery, the next day he, Bivol and Gritskov were charged under Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to Izvestia's source, six people were detained, and $2 million was seized during a search in the house of one of them.
The investigation believes that Anokhin tried to conceal data on embezzlement at his former place of work for 60 million rubles. However, one of the intermediaries and the operative who was to receive the money participated in the operational experiment.
At the trial, the entrepreneur said that he was the CEO of the company "Fonbet". At the same time, the bookmaker itself stated that Anokhin left his post in January to focus on the development of his own business projects. Later "Fonbet" announced its intention to file a lawsuit against Anokhin to "protect the honor, dignity and reputation of the company in business circles".
