Freight trains will be removed from the crossing in Vladivostok

In Vladivostok at the railroad crossing at Gaidamak station, freight trains will be banned in the morning and evening hours. Thus, the authorities will free the passage for motorists.
As PrimaMedia news agency was informed by the press service of the Far Eastern Railway, the changes will come into force on February 1. Freight trains will not be allowed at the crossing from 7:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00.
The Far Eastern Railway specified that the restrictions are introduced in connection with the wishes of Vladivostok residents. The railroad will optimize the movement of freight trains on the section Vtoraya Rechka - Gaidamak. Only scheduled electric trains will run there at the specified time.
This should significantly reduce the traffic congestion at the crossing during peak hours and speed up car traffic, the agency writes with reference to the Far Eastern Railway.
