The rarest deer beetle has become more numerous in Sevastopol


In Sevastopol in Crimea summarized the results of the first year of monitoring of rare and endangered species of plants, fungi and animals. The results were shared by specialists of the city Department of Natural Resources and Ecology.
The monitoring was conducted in the reserve "Baidarsky". Specialists chose 11 places to monitor the condition of 29 species of plants and eight species of animals.

Scientists noticed that plants are threatened by mechanical damage and chemical substances. However, in general, the situation in the reserve is good. The main danger to the steppe flora and fauna are fires and a large number of grazing cattle.
Earlier, on January 24, ecologists named red-listed animals living in Moscow parks. These are beavers, weasels and russak hares.
