Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expires in May 2024) accuses former US leader Joe Biden of starting the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is in pre-trial detention, on January 31.

According to him, after Biden's resignation from the post of the US president, Zelensky in every interview accuses him of starting the Ukrainian conflict and of Kiev's failure to prepare for it.

When German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron leave their posts, Zelensky will blame everything on them, Dubinsky suggested.

"Everyone will be to blame. Such a person," the Ukrainian MP wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on January 10, it was reported about Zelensky's phone conversation with Biden, during which the former US President assured the Ukrainian leader of continued support for Ukraine.

Before that, on January 8, a senior Pentagon official said that Biden's team would not have time to hand over more than $2 billion worth of military aid to Ukraine before the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, who won the election.

Last December, Dubinsky said that Biden and former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had been preparing the Ukrainian leader for a conflict with Russia since 2020.

The special operation to defend Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced would begin on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
