- Mishustin announced the launch of satellites for fast internet across Russia in 2026

Russia will launch four satellites into orbit in 2026, which will provide the entire country, including the Arctic, with high-speed Internet. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a session of the Digital Almaty forum on January 31.
"Next year it is planned to put into highly elliptical orbit four communications spacecraft that will provide, among other things, services for broadband access to fast Internet throughout the Russian Federation, including the Arctic zone," he said.
Mishustin added that one of the key areas of work is the development of advanced space constellations and systems to provide services of a new level.
Earlier, on December 6, the State Duma discussed that in order for Russia to join the top 25 leading countries in the world in terms of robotization in five years, it will be necessary to increase the number of annually introduced robots by 10 times. The ambitious task will be realized within the framework of new national projects aimed at achieving technological leadership and sovereignty. Thus, by 2030, at least 100 thousand of such industrial assistants should be installed.
