From February 1, 2025, a toll regime will be introduced on the Mytishchi Expressway (the northern understudy of the Moscow Ring Road). The test mode of operation of the new highway has been completed, it has been in effect since the opening of traffic on December 17 last year. This was announced on January 31 on its website by VIS Group, which implemented the highway project under a private concession initiative.

"The tolling system is organized on the principle of "free flow" (free flow), which eliminates the need to stop to pay the toll. It will be carried out by car license plate number on the official website of the highway operator - the company "Transtoll". You can also pay for the trip using transponders. It is necessary to pay only for the traveled route, the whole highway is divided into 5 sections", - told in the company.

The 16-kilometer Mytishchi High-Speed Chord (road Vinogradovo - Boltino - Tarasovka) was built in the concession format under the agreement between VIS and the Moscow Region Government. "VIS will be responsible for its operation until 2038.

According to the data published on the Transtoll website, a passenger car owner will have to pay 238 rubles (14.8 rubles per 1 km) to drive along the Afanasovskoye highway - M-8 "Kholmogory" section. According to the operator's data, more than 1.2 million trips have been made along the highway during the test free operation mode. The road reduces travel time for residents of the Moscow region, acting as an understudy of the Moscow Ring Road and linking Afanasovskoye, Ostashkovskoye, Pirogovskoye and Yaroslavskoye highways.

The day before it was reported that the deputies of the Moscow Municipal Duma adopted in the third reading of the law on the introduction of fines for non-payment of toll roads. The Administrative Code of the Moscow region is supplemented with a new article. Fines will amount to 3 thousand rubles for citizens and 10 thousand rubles for legal entities.
