Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin made his first working trip to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) this year, visiting Mariupol. He reported about it in his Telegram-channel on January 31.

The deputy prime minister, together with the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin and the chairman of the government of the DNR Yevgeny Solntsev, inspected the stadium "Olymp", there he noted the new covering of the soccer field, as well as new stands and electronic scoreboard. He said that in the same area of the city where the stadium is located, they renovated the kindergarten, renewing the grounds for walks and games. They also rebuilt the art school almost from scratch.

"Driving through the streets of Mariupol, I noticed that it has become more well-groomed and clean. The "face" of the city in terms of facades is appearing, there is work on improvement. But we can't say that we have already done everything, so there is still a lot of work ahead," wrote Khusnullin.

He also held a meeting on socio-economic development of the region, where he discussed all actions aimed at improving housing, roads and social facilities.

At the end of his working trip to the DNR Khusnullin came to the enterprise Karanskiy quarry, which is involved in the development of the economy of the republic. There investors built a new crushing and sorting plant.

Earlier, on December 20, 2024, Pushilin said that the DNR has about 27 regions-sheriffs working in the DNR, who are restoring infrastructure, residential structures, as well as social facilities of the republic. According to him, by the end of November alone, almost 700 multi-storey houses had been repaired and about 130 km of roads in settlements had been restored.

Before that, on December 14, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the potential of the new Russian regions should be fully realized. According to him, Novorossiya is home to energetic, talented and brave people who are capable of strengthening the strength and glory of Russia through their efforts.

The Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, joined Russia on September 30, 2022, following the results of referendums held from September 23 to 27.
